EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW AND WERE AFRAID TO ASK
WHAT IS PAVERPOL
Paverpol is a textile hardener which is waterproof and adhesive. It is used to harden materials and will adhere to fabric, paper, chamois leather, fiberglass, self-hardening clay, wood, ceramics, plaster, concrete, stone, styrofoam and other natural materials. It is the foundation for creating unique Paverpol sculptures as well as in other mixed media art forms requiring a hardening compound. This product is harmless to people, animals, plants and the environment.
HOW TO USE
Pavercolor is available in many colors which can be combined to make a vast range of shades. There are 4 premixed Paverpol colors - black, grey, skin color and bronze. Pavercolor can also be added to Paverpol to change the colour. Clear Paverpol remains transparent and when used with coloured textiles, the original brightness and colour of the fabric will be preserved.
If a sculpture is intended to be placed outside it is recommended that the artist uses weather-resistant paint in either acrylic or oil. When outdoor paint is used, it is not necessary to varnish the sculpture. It is recommended that the sculpture be varnished and stored inside to cure and harden completely before it is placed outside. This will prevent mould from forming on the surface, particularly if placed in a high humid environment. Once Paverpol has hardened, it is able to withstand extreme frost.
